This Good Friday – James Ruddick Works For Oxfam!

As everyone prepares to celebrate Easter on Good Friday, traditionally a day to remember Jesus’ suffering on the cross, one of Summertown Clinic’s osteopaths – James Ruddick, is planning to work for Oxfam to help ease people’s suffering and pain, to gift money to help fight poverty all over the world.

The idea came about after a networking event run by Phil Walsh (a friend of James’) on behalf of Oxfam to raise the profile of their ‘Work for Oxfam’ initiative. As an osteopath much of James’ work is aimed at helping get his patient’s out of pain and so giving the money to Oxfam to help get other much less fortunate people out of suffering seemed a Good idea, and Good Friday offered the perfect opportunity as normally the clinic closes for Bank Holidays.James Ruddick

“This is a great opportunity to help raise some much needed money for a charity with an incredible Oxford history” – James Ruddick

James’ aim is to raise over £500 with donations, and gift aid, by working this Friday as a normal day, and not having to pay any of the usual commercial overheads. This support towards his target from Summertown Clinic is very welcome and makes the day possible. This money should help communities fight poverty and improve health through Oxfam’s aid work supplying soap, latrine’s, and much needed life saving medication to some of the world’s poorest.

If you’d like to help you can either make a donation or book in for an appointment on Friday by ringing the friendly receptionists on 01865 558561.
