Lizzie Foulon BSc (hons.) MCPP
Lizzie is a Medical Herbalist working in general practice seeing patients with both chronic and acute conditions. A diverse array of people come for treatment, from those with simple coughs and colds to complex and rare disorders. Lizzie has particular interests in the support of cancer patients, dermatology and gut health.
Lizzie has been practicing as a Medical Herbalist since 2005. She holds a degree in Phytotherapy, the science of Herbal Medicine, through which she undertook rigorous training in the medical sciences, nutrition and the uses of herbal medicines and their constituents. As a member of the professional body, The College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy, she regularly undertakes CPD to ensure that her knowledge and skills are completely up to date.
While a student living in the United States, Lizzie was awarded a scholarship to study for a year with well-known herbalist and author Christopher Hobbs. She was given the rare opportunity and privilege as a student to study and undertake clinical training with Chanchal Cabrera at Donnie Yance’s “Midori Clinic”, in Ashland, Oregon; this is a dedicated cancer care clinic. She also attended regular clinic at a family medical practice run by Howard Morningstar MD.
Lizzie has studied Aromatic Medicine in France and the UK. Aromatic Medicine is a branch of Herbal Medicine which uses essential oils as internal medicine. She has undertaken extensive research into historical and current uses of topical applications in Herbal Medicine, making use of these skills in her practice where applicable.
